Here's an example of visualization in action, aka visual cartography or visual note-taking.
This example is from the Creative Cities Summit 2.0 in Detroit, MI Oct. 11-15, 2008.
The visual note-taker was Tom Wujec, a Fellow with AutoDesk. He has worked with TED Talks and is brilliant at what he does.
